Ecorys’ Intermodal Links data supplier of Port of Rotterdam’s Navigate

Ecorys' Intermodal Links is one of the data providers of Port of Rotterdam’s Navigate tool. Intermodal Links is responsible for the intermodal route information (via short sea, inland navigation and rail) in Navigate. Rotterdam is the fifth seaport which uses the services of Intermodal Links. Previously, Intermodal Links built multimodal platforms for Zeeland Seaports, Port of Amsterdam, Port of Zeebrugge and Wilhelmshafen / Jadeweserport. In addition to multimodal platforms for ports, Intermodal Links also develops intermodal route planners for freight corridors and terminals. For example, at the end of January this year, an intermodal route planner was launched for the European East West Corridor (linking two major European transport corridors, the North Sea - Baltic corridor and the North Sea - Mediterranean corridor), and in April an intermodal Route planner for the inland terminal of KTL Ludwigshafen has been developed.

Intermodal Links
Ecorys' Intermodal Links is the first independent online search engine that enables you to find the best and fastest intermodal service provider for container and ferry / RoRo transport between more than 1000 terminals in 50 countries. The planner determines the optimal route from approximately 16,000 direct terminal-terminal connections offered by 150 intermodal service providers (rail, inland shipping and short sea), including transport times and frequencies of the connections and contact data of the intermodal transport operators and terminals.

Navigate
Navigate gives a complete overview of the most efficient routes via Rotterdam by deepsea, shortsea, train or barge. Not only will Navigate show the best transport route, it will also tell you the transit time and list the logistics companies you could partner up with. In addition, an empty depot planner has been built in to reposition your empty containers. Navigate has been specifically designed for companies who want to use container transportation in smarter ways for their supply chain.
