Ecorys organises economic mission in China for the European Trade Milk programme

On May 20, the programme ‘Trade Milk’ ended, which was dedicated to promote high-quality European dairy products on the Chinese market in collaboration with the Polish Agricultural Market Agency, the Polish Milk Chamber and the Polish Federation of Cattle Breeders and Dairy Producers. Aimed to promote European dairy products during the most prestigious fairs of food industry in China, Ecorys has been responsible for its comprehensive organisation and the presence of Polish dairy producers at Asia's largest food exhibition – SIAL China 2017.

The final economic mission of the project took place in the week of 16 to 20 May together with this year’s SIAL China. Next to the impressive ’Trade Milk’ stand during the exhibition, with broad product presentations of European dairy products, culinary show cooking and consultations on business cooperation, over 60 B2B meetings took place. This year's innovation for the exhibition was an interactive quiz game using Augmented Reality technology, designed specifically for the fair. A successful ending formed a seminar, attended by representatives of European companies and entrepreneurs from China to exchange ideas on potential investments.

The three-year ‘Trade Milk’ programme has been promoting high quality dairy products from the European Union and encouraging the potential Chinese investors to establish business relationships with the producers from Europe in order to increase the export to eastern markets and the trading partner’s database. Next to establishing business relation, the program focused further on educational topics such as the high standards of European products, in particular on yoghurts, yellow and ripened cheeses or flavoured and powdered milk.
