12 April 2011 - Ecorys has taken up the chair and secretariat of the Dutch Platform for Health Insurance for the Poor (HIP) as per April 1st, 2011. The Platform has been established to share and develop knowledge on health Insurance arrangements in developing countries. The Ecorys Health unit has been one of the founding members of the Platform, which unites Dutch NGOs and research organisations and the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

4 April 2011 - On April 1st, Gail Whiteman, Ecorys NEI Professor of Sustainability and Climate Change at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM) held her inaugural address, entitled: “Making Sense of Climate Change: How to Avoid the Next Big Flood -- Management Lessons for the 21st Century”. 31 March 2011 - PRESS RELEASE - The European Perseus project has started on January 1 2011. Perseus is a new, integrated system for the surveillance of European maritime borders, combining existing national and international systems. The Perseus project aims at a significant increase in European maritime control and security. Perseus uses various new and innovative technologies, including the detection of small vessels and low flying, non cooperative aircraft. Ecorys is the only Dutch partner in the project.

28 March 2011 - Ecorys has successfully finalized the interim evaluation of the EC Youth in Action Programme. The Programme targets young people, youth organisations and youth workers. It aims at building capacities through non-formal education. The results of this evaluation can be found on DG EAC's evaluation web page.

17 February 2011 - PRESS RELEASE - Ecorys Netherlands has obtained the ISO14001 certificate per 14 February 2011. ISO14001 is a standard for the appraisal of environmental management systems and is recognized worldwide. Getting the certificate is an acknowledgement of the quality of Ecorys’ CSR and environmental policy.

9 February 2011 - Ecorys and SANEC are co-leading a consortium of 14 Dutch companies that together (with the support of the Dutch Government) aim to develop a modern and thriving port in the Saldanha bay community, South Africa. Together with the development of a completely new port, the project 'Saldanha Clean Tech Bay' aims to develop the municipality as a place for high quality living and working and to also develop the surrounding coastal and nature reserves.

25 January 2011 - Middle East Technical University Center for European Studies (CES-METU) and Ecorys proudly present the Ecorys METU EU Seminar Series II. EU Policies and Funds have become increasingly important for Turkey. As Turkey is a candidate country for EU membership, the EU Acquis, EU thematic policies and EU funds such as the Instrument for Pre-Accession (IPA) play an important role towards EU accession.

10 January 2011 - Ecorys has won a prestigious study commissioned by the European Commission’s DG Information Society and Media on electronic communication. The purpose of this study is to assess the state of progress of the EU's internal market for electronic communications networks and services and to identify possible policy measures to achieve a higher degree of EU market integration. The study will provide support to the realisation of Europe 2020 and the Digital Agenda for Europe.
